Tenby community events: Film screening, Tenby Connects, garden volunteers, and chess club

COMEDY adventure film The Phoenician Scheme (2025, cert 15) will be screened by Films4Tenby on Tuesday, July 14 at 7pm in the De Valence Pavilion.

Wealthy businessman, Zsa-Zsa Korda appoints his only daughter, a nun, as sole heir to his estate. As Korda embarks on a new enterprise, they soon become the target of scheming tycoons, foreign terrorists, and determined assassins.

The film, written, produced and directed by Wes Anderson, received generally positive reviews.

Entrance is £5 or £4 if you are a member of Films4Tenby. The Fuchsia Cafe does a two-course pre-screening meal that you can book directly with them.

Everyone is welcome.

THE first Annual General Meeting of Tenby Connects will be on Monday, July 13, 5pm at Tenby Town Council office at the De Valence Pavilion.

Everyone who has volunteered for a Tenby connects project, or who is interested in finding out about it is welcome to go along.

IF you help or are interested in helping to look after any of the public gardens around Tenby, then you are invited to a Garden Volunteers Meeting at the Tenby Town Council Office on Tuesday, July 14.

Go along at 5pm to discuss looking after a patch of Tenby’s public gardens or helping in the Edible Community Garden. Everyone is welcome.

Chess playing is really taking off across the county with several new clubs. Tenby’s chess club meets every Tuesday from 7pm to 9pm at Tenby Sailing Club on the Harbour (SA70 7BW.
