A very enjoyable time was had by Summerhill WI when they held their June Cheese and Wine evening.

A marvellous selection of cheeses, pate and crackers were set out and many thanks were given to Linnia for arranging everything. The raffle was drawn and won by Ann.

The business meeting had preceded the event with apologies noted and thanks given to ladies for their food bank donations. Hilary was again thanked for the lovely flowers on the President’s table.

Members were sorry to hear Jane is still poorly and a card and flowers have been sent to her. Birthdays are celebrated in June by Linda and in August by Kay and Margaret Llewellyn.

Upcoming events were finalised, including the Strawberry Tea in Amroth Parish Hall, Summerhill on July 4 and the outing to the National Botanic Gardens of Wales on July 14.

The next meeting will be the Harvest Supper on September 8 when the speaker will be Ian Watling from Narberth Food Bank.
