AT Broad Haven on Saturday afternoon, May 9, a free Family Fun Day at the Slash Pond celebrates its becoming Wales’ first community nature reserve to achieve Naturfa status.

This spring celebration at the Slash Pond Car Park, Trafalgar Terrace, will include pond dipping, face painting, guided nature walks, live music, guest speakers, the Naturfa Treasure Trail, and more.

During the event, the Naturfa Certificate will be officially unveiled, and ‘From Culm to Culm’, a book on the history of the Slash Pond, will be launched.

This Pembrokeshire community nature reserve, with its boardwalk, is part of the National Forest for Wales.
