Dunelm Carmarthen is continuing its Delivering Joy campaign, supporting the Wish Fund to bring joy to children with life-threatening conditions across West Wales this Christmas.

The Wish Fund creates magical memories for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and their families. It is delivered by Hywel Dda Health Charities, the official charity of Hywel Dda University Health Board, and supported by Scarlets Rugby.

Delivering Joy is Dunelm’s community-focused Christmas campaign which gives generous shoppers the opportunity to buy a gift for a person in need.

The Dunlem Carmarthen Christmas tree is now in store and is hanging with 350 Wish Fund tags. Each tag provides details of a present requested by a child or young person receiving palliative care.

Kind shoppers and colleagues can take a tag home to fulfil the request before returning their gift to the store by December 14, 2025.

Those unable to get into store can contact Dunelm for further assistance via Dunelm Carmarthen’s Community Facebook Group.

Jo Cheswick from Dunelm Carmarthen said: “Here at Dunelm in Carmarthen this Christmas we are supporting a range of charities by trying to deliver as many gifts as possible to the ones who need them the most.”

Tara Nickerson, Fundraising Manager at Hywel Dda Health Charities, said: “We want to say a huge thank you to Dunelm Carmarthen for choosing to support the Wish Fund for a second year.

“We know better than anyone how supportive our local communities are here in west Wales, and last year we were overwhelmed by people’s generosity. We can’t wait to deliver all the kind presents to our young patients this Christmas!”
