The Mayor of Tenby has welcomed the unveiling of a commemorative plaque in Tenby for well known Welsh artist, Gwilym Prichard, who passed away last year.

“Thanks to Tenby Civic Society for their latest blue plaque on the premises at Queen’s Parade where the late artist lived with his wife. This is part of an ongoing project by the Civic Society to recognise people that have made a contribution to the town,” the Mayor, Clr. Laurence Blackhall, told his colleagues at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council.

An exhibition by that artist’s son, Ceri Prichard, entitled ‘The Strange Edge of Reality’, will run at Tenby Museum and Art Gallery from August 5.
