A Saundersfoot schoolgirl has shown the true meaning of Christmas.

Six-year-old Ellie-Jane Wright, of New Minerton Leisure Park, Devonshire Drive, recently approached her parents asking what a ’foodbank’ was after watching a video online.

After the foodbank charities were explained to her, she asked if she could do some jobs around the house to earn money to buy food for the facilities, and with her parents agreeing, they set about documenting her journey on Facebook.

As a result, Ellie has had some fantastic donations from family and friends and people from New Minerton Leisure Park.

The Co-op store in Kilgetty even gave Ellie-Jane their annual donation of food.

Earlier this month, Ellie-Jane and her parents went shopping with the funds she had earned and money that had been donated, so, along with the food donation from the Co-op, the family dropped off over £100 worth of food and toiletries at the collection point at Begelly Church.

Her parents think that she is amazing and and are so proud of her and her kindness.
