Last week, the Paul Sartori store at Tenby was decorated by volunteers Shirley, Linda and Sylvia, with a Christmas theme throughout.
The store is part of the 12 charity stores around Pembrokeshire which are all involved in a Christmas competition for the best Paul Sartori decorated store and windows.
In one of Tenby’s windows, Father Christmas is on the roof of a house going down a chimney, while Mother Christmas ticks the address off her list, and the Elf keeps hold of the reindeer’s reins. The reindeer is made from a four-legged coffee table, with a tail, a cushion for a head, two branches for antlers, and a red nose!
The other window has a Christmas tree, and a unique snowman. Both windows have presents spread around.
Paul Sartori stores mostly use what is available within their stores to decorate windows, so some clever thinking has to happen. If Tenby folk remember, in last year’s window, Father Christmas was having a holiday in the sun, prior to going around the world delivering presents, and the year before, he was asleep on a couch in the window.
The Tenby store specialises in furniture and has a marvellous display at the moment.
Paul Sartori is a ‘Hospice in the Home’, and is only in Pembrokeshire. It is a very worthwhile local charity to support. A lot of the volunteers come to help because they were helped by this charity in their time of need to support loved ones. If anyone would like to volunteer, maybe two hours one day a week or more, please see Les at the store or phone him on 07974 405298.
Come and look at the windows, and maybe buy some Christmas presents, or cards in the store, to help this charity.
