Tenby and District Ladies Circle recently celebrated their 55th charter at the Giltar Hotel, Tenby.
They were joined by national president Zoe Gaskill, Area 46 chairman Chasey Davies-Wrigley, founder members Mary Rowell and Beryl Hughes, as well as Tenby Tangent members, past Circle members and past area and national officers.
All enjoyed a lovely three-course lunch before being entertained by Sam Skyrme, who had everyone dancing and singing along.
MC for the day was Tenby president Sam Reohorn, while Tenby member and national treasurer Kirsty Willing, responded on behalf of the hosts.
All members would like to extend their thanks to management and staff of the Giltar Hotel for a wonderful day, where nothing was too much trouble.
At the November meeting, which was chaired by Kirsty and hosted by honouree member Jayne Colley, the girls were thanked for their hard work at the recent bonfire night at St. Florence.
President Sam and honouree Jayne Osborne represented Tenby at the remembrance parade, with Sam laying the wreath at the cenotaph.
Meanwhile, Kirsty had travelled to London with national president Zoe and was honoured to have taken part in the remembrance service.
It was decided that a donation be made to Martin Lees-Griffiths, whose family are fundraising to purchase a new wheelchair for Martin.
Sam, Kath Kirsty and Jayne will be taking part in a quiz at the sailing club in aid of Seafarers UK.
Plans are in place for the annual Santa Fun Run. This will take place from St. Mary’s Church House on December 13. Following this, a donation will be made to Tenby Playgroup. Further details and online registration can be found on the Tenby and District Ladies Circle - Santa Fun Run Facebook page.
The area ball will be held at Plas Hyfryd in January. Further details will be given at the next meeting, which will be held at the home of Sam on December 10. As this is the Christmas meeting, each Circler is asked to bring a secret Santa to the value of £10 and a plate of food.
