Following the annual vintage tractor run organised by the Hundleton group, two organisations attended at the Highgate Inn recently to receive donations.
The popular run around the glorious scenery of South Pembrokeshire attracted over 60 tractors, resulting in £1,000 being divided between the Pembrokeshire branch of the Parkinson’s Society and the HOPE organisation at Neyland which offers medical support to sufferers of Multiple Sclerosis and other afflictions.
In 2014, £900 was donated to the local Cardiac Rehab Team to purchase a portable ECG machine, and two members brought along the machine to demonstrate to members the benefit of having this facility.
Over the past few years, over £10,000 has been raised for the benefit of local charities and the next run to make more money will take place on the third Saturday of September.
