The first meeting of the year for the Friends of Narberth Pool Action Group took place on Monday, January 6.
The main agenda item was energy, and Ben Ferguson-Walker, a Narberth swimmer, and specialist in the field of sustainable energy, was asked to join the meeting to help the group to understand more about its options.
An interesting discussion ensued, although no final decisions have been reached.
The information will be invaluable in preparing for the next meeting with Pembrokeshire County Council which is scheduled to take place in time for the group's 'business plan' submission deadline of January 31.
A meeting with PAVS (Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services) has also taken place to establish what grant funding might be available.
Letters will be sent to the Narberth business community to seek their support and assistance.
"I think it's fair to say that there is a sense of cautious optimism amongst the members of the action group and we are working hard to collate information on several aspects of the business plan that is under development," said campaigner John Sleigh.

"Please cast your vote in favour of 'Friends of Narberth Pool' to help find Wales' most loved community organisation for 2014 and we'll receive a fantastic £5,000 gift to kick-start or complete a project that will make a difference to the community they support," continued John.
"Thanks goes to Eifion Jenkins for letting me know about this opportunity.
"I'd also like to thank everyone who has assisted in a variety of ways," he added.
