Pembroke Dock Quins Carnival will be ‘bigger and better’ next year after Saturday’s ‘utter embarrassment,” one of the organisers has vowed.

Only one float turned up for the procession on Saturday, the Llanion Warriors Rowing Club (pictured).

“It was an utter embarrassment,” said parade organiser Clr. Peter Kraus. “It’s so hard. The vintage and classic car show was absolutely brilliant, but all we had on the carnival was one float. If it wasn’t for the Llanion Warriors, we would have just had cars.

“It’s such a shame, but next year’s going to be a different ball game; if we’re going to do something, we’ve got to start in January or even start now.”
