This is what the Carew Platinum Jubilee Fun Day was looking like at lunchtime on Friday. The procession had just arrived, and it was time for a song - Carew WI members donned Union Flag hats, picked up their kazoos and joined the children in performing songs including ‘This Little Light of Mine’ and ‘Ay ay Yippee’.
There was a selection of stalls, and inflatables to ensure plenty of fun under the blue sky. The British National Anthem was played during the afternoon, and the ensuing applause showed that local families had not forgotten the reason for the celebration - the 70-year reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
