Cadets from Whitland ATC took part in a sponsored car wash on Saturday to raise much-needed funds for the squadron The cadets raised over £200 during the day.
Chairman of the squadron committee, Mr. Paul Rowlands, said: "The event was a great success, the cadets all worked hard to raise the funds."
He also added that the squadron was looking for adult committee members to help out during fund-raising. Anyone interested in helping, should contact the squadron on parade nights.
Cpl. Sam Burnell attended the inter-wing netball competition at RAF Cosford last weekend. The team, made up from ATC squadrons from throughout No3 Welsh Wing, came second. Sam will now go forward to represent the Wales and West region at RAF Cranwell in the next few weeks.
The Air Training Corps is a national voluntary youth organisation, open to young men and women aged between 13 and 20. Flying, gliding, sports, shooting and adventure training are some of the activities that cadets participate in.
