Whitland Classic Motor Club recently presented a cheque for £629 to the Oncology Unit at Glangwilli Hospital in respect of monies raised from the Carmarthenshire Run held in May.

Nearly 200 cars took part and the club is grateful to all who helped organise the event, those who advertised in the brochure, sponsor John Morgan Autoparts and Simon Hart for starting off the run.

Thanks also go to Whitland Rugby Club and the United Counties Showground for allowing use of their facilities.

Next year, the event is on Sunday, May 19.
