DID you raise money by taking part in the Tenby Boxing Day Swim?

If so, the organisers, Tenby Sea Swimming Association (TSSA), would be pleased to hear from you.

The record-breaking turnout of over 700 dippers were challenged to raise money either for their own good causes or those nominated by TSSA, which were the Huntington’s Disease Association, the Stroke Association and the RNLI.

To enable the final charity total to be calculated, TSSA is asking for swimmers to send a message with details of their fundraising to the Tenby Boxing Day Swim Facebook page.

Said swim chairman Chris Osborne: “We’ve already had some fantastic fundraising totals notified to us from people who came to the swim from all over the UK. These include over £2,000 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, more than £500 for Epilepsy Action and £420 for the Selma Food Bank in the west Midlands.

“There was also a superb effort from Skanda Vale, who not only added to the fun of the swim with their giant space-rocket, but also raised £791 for their in-patient hospice which provides care for people from Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion.

“We know that many more people have raised substantial sums for their own good causes as well, and we’d love to hear from them so we can acknowledge their efforts.”

Money raised for TSSA charities can be sent or taken, c/o TSSA, to the Fourcroft Hotel, Tenby.
