Senior managers at one of West Wales’ major employers have paid thanks to the hard work and commitment of their employees with a dedicated Appreciation Day.

More than 700 staff at Bluestone National Park Resort, near Narberth, have been pulling out all the stops over recent months ensuring visitors enjoy a well-deserved short break at the destination.

The Appreciation Day on Friday, September 24 recognised staff with sweet treats from local supplier Sugarloaf, as well as a high street voucher to spoil on themselves.

“It’s been a great summer season with visitors enjoying all that the area has to offer to enjoy a staycation,”said Jessica Rainbow, People Services Manager.

“Our staff have gone above and beyond in their work to ensure everyone has had a great time. We appreciate everything they do and this is just one way of demonstrating that.”

Jessica added: “Our team members are the people that make our guest’s holidays something to remember, working hard in a wide range of roles in our restaurants and cafes, adventure activities, customer service, spa, Blue Lagoon Water Park, to those behind the scenes looking after everything from housekeeping to maintenance.

“Every day they work hard to ensure guests have the best possible experience and we really do appreciate all that they do. We wanted to do something to thank them for it and an Appreciation Day is just one way of recognising them for everything they do.”

Bluestone is currently undertaking a recruitment drive with the creation of new jobs throughout the resort. Careers are being offered in roles varying from lifeguards and chefs to IT support and insights and analytics. In addition, there are roles in food and beverage, customer service, housekeeping, and activities.

“We have a wide range of careers on offer at Bluestone, particularly in the lead up to Christmas. We’d encourage anyone looking to develop their career or looking for a new opportunity to join us in the hospitality and tourism sector,” added Jessica.

Bluestone is one of West Wales’ largest employers, generating in excess of £17m per annum directly into the local community each year and supporting a wide supplier network that in turn invests more money and employment throughout Pembrokeshire and beyond.
