Cresselly Cricket Club won the coveted Harrison-Allen Bowl for the first time in 10 years last Sunday when they defeated Lawrenny by 25 runs. They also won it no fewer than four times during a glorious era in the 1970s (’73, ’76, ’78 and ’79) and we believe that this week’s Blast from the Past picture, plucked from our archives, is of one of the Bowl winning teams from that time. It includes many familiar faces synonymous with local cricket, including the likes of Maurice Cole, Glyn Cole, John Arthur, David Arthur, Philip James, Peter James, Roly Edwards and David Morris. Will the present team go on to achieve similar success? Time will tell.
