This week’s Blast from the Past is a photograph of Angle School in 1964. On August 31, Angle School will be closing its doors for good. The school has been open since 1862, 155 years. A lot of children have been educated at the school. The children will be moving to a new school at Hundleton in January 2018, while from September, they will all go to Stackpole under the new name and uniform. To end the school’s long run of education, we are holding a leaving celebration afternoon today (Friday, July 7), starting at 2 pm, in the school yard. Presentations will be given by present and past pupils, while old photos and memorabilia will be displayed in the school building for the public to view. Also, tomorrow (Saturday, July 8), there will be a reunion on the football field, with a beer tent and band. We would like to invite all past teachers, pupils and friends to these events to celebrate the life of the school and say farewell.
