This week’s Blast from the Past is a picture of 24 Command Workshop Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Pembroke Dock, 1947.

It was kindly submitted by Frank Harries, whose father was a member of the workforce of this army establishment at Llanion Barracks, which was closed in the 1960s.

A number of these men are from the Tenby district.

The names of the 16 soldiers in the photograph are not known apart from Commanding Officer, Major H. J. Bellamy. Pictured from left are:
