Following a performance by the Small World Theatre on Tenby’s North Beach tonight (Friday) where the ‘Cragen’ puppet sea monster will be helping to raise awareness of the impact of single use plastics, the Tenby Plastic Free initiative will be be undertaking a beach clean exercise the following day.

Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, Clr. Laurence Blackhall told members that the beach cleans would take place on Saturday morning, covering both South and North beaches, with volunteers urged to meet at the harbour car park at 11 am, where they will be provided with litter pickers.

He also said that a further ‘2MinuteBeachClean board’ for Tenby would be introduced for the South Beach at the end of the week.

After the Small World Theatre performance on Friday at 7 pm, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority and Keep Wales Tidy will lead a North beach clean at 8 pm, where members of the public are encouraged to join in with Guto Harries PCNPA Ranger and Simon Preddy of Keep Wales Tidy.
