Banners will be banned at a Narberth junction members of the town council were told this week.
County Councillor Vic Dennis, Pembrokeshire County Council’s member for Narberth made the announcement at a meeting of the Town Council on Tuesday night.
Members heard how banners that are displayed on railings on the junction with Moorfield Road, Spring Gardens, Northfield Road and High Street can cause a distraction for motorists when they are driving along.
Clr. Dennis added that vehicles could end up running people over at the zebra crossing meaning there was a real concern for highway safety.
There was also a concern that motorists may not be able to see people reading the notices.
