The £14,000 appeal to help save St. Florence Church has been given a visual boost with promotional banners and plants to enhance the church grounds.

As the Observer reported previously, the village church needs to provide a contribution to enable a £115,000 Heritage Lottery Fund grant to be put in place to repair the leaking tower and create a community space within the building.

To help the fundraising, two large Save St. Florence Church banners have been kindly donated by a member of Manorbier Church - in addition to the £100 contribution to the fund from the church.

Children from St. Florence VC?School have been given a range of insect-friendly plants by Steve Lewis, of local biodiversity initiative B2Bm, who visits the school to give nature talks, and the youngsters have chosen to donate some of the plants to the church.
