Last Friday Cylch Meithrin Hywel Dda held a very successful duck race with over 400 ducks sold. They would like to thank Mrs. Carys James, of Barclays Bank, Carmarthen, for arranging the event which will be match funded £1 for £1 by Barclays. The prizes for the race were kindly sponsored by Whitland News, Magstim Ltd., and Barry and Heather Rees. Prize-winners were: 1. £30 - Sarah Morris (no. 59); 2. £20 - Jessica Lewis (82); 3. £10 - Margarette Hughes (347). The Cylch would like to thank Narberth and Whitland Rotary Club for the use of the ducks, and everyone who supported the event and helped on the day.

Bag2School day

Recently, Cylch Meithrin Hywel Dda arranged a Bag2School day and a fantastic £345 was raised. Thank you to everyone in the community who collected bags of unwanted clothes and brought them to the Cylch Meithrin. Another Bag2School day has been arranged for November so please remember Cylch if you have any unwanted textiles, bags, shoes etc., between now and November! The money will be used to buy educational resources for the preschool children attending the Cylch Meithrin and Cylch Ti a Fi. Some of the children are pictured on the huge pile of bags that were collected.
