Celebrating their ninth anniversary this month, Patrick Jenkins and Malcolm Brace, as owners of the Giltar, are proud of their consistent award-winning record since their hotel purchase. Creating innovative menus using local produce, consistently upgrading rooms to a high standard and hosting events and weddings has been key to the business success.
“We both believe that The Giltar has a strong role to play not just for visitors to Pembrokeshire, but also for our local community,” said Malcolm.
With numerous weddings year on year, conferences and functions, the development of the Cwtch Lounge and Bar and Ton y Mor Restaurant, the hotel provides employment for almost 30 people.
Recently shortlisted as finalist in two categories at the 2018 Pembrokeshire Tourism Awards - best customer service and best hotel, both Malcolm and Pat say that they thrive on the bustle within the business, both striving to ‘be the best’ day in, day out.
A recent customer commented: “Spotless and probably the best staff I’ve ever encountered, from the owners to the cleaners - amazing and nothing too much trouble.”
Pat commented: “We’re excited to attend the awards event in April, keeping our fingers crossed for a great result.”
