Among matters discussed at the October meeting of Amroth Community Council were the following:
Outstanding issues to be addressed
Drain at the entrance to Summerhill Park - still not done.
Meeting with PCC to discuss matter of the back of the Hall in Summerhill - Clr. Brinsden would follow this up with a PCC officer.
Road sinking once more on Amroth Hill by the 30mph signs - This was still sinking and there were five deep dips. Also another hole had occurred on the road between New Inn and the slipway. Clr. Brinsden would address these matters with the PCC officer.
Ongoing concerns about lack of 'beware horses' sign on road up from the Amroth Arms: This had now been requested at least six times. Clr. Brinsden would take this up again with the PCC officer as a matter of urgency.
County Councillor Brinsden
Clr. Brinsden reported that there had been a drop in revenue for Wales. The drop across Wales was an average of 3.5 per cent, but Pembrokeshire was to take a hit of 3.8 per cent. There would also be a further cut of 1.6 per cent for 2014/15/16 and it was not currently known whether the Welsh Governments grants would also be reduced, but when all was taken into account, a saving of £20m would have to be made over the next two years. PCC was participating in the Cyd Cymru/Wales Together Energy Scheme aimed at getting people to group together to get the best of the electricity prices. Full details of this can be found at http://www.cyd">http://www.cyd cymru-Energy.com/content.asp. In May next year, the Queen's baton rally will pass through Pembrokeshire on its way to the Commonwealth Games.
Amroth and District Community Association
The hall was very busy and used every day. There would be a concert on December 6 with Pembroke and District Male Voice Choir, proceeds going to Tinkers Hill and Shalom House.

Other Matters
Thanks to Clr. J. James, Clr. J. Lewis and Roy Lewis for their help with the weeding of the Memorial Garden. Two seats needed to be moved to an angle and a new seat purchased. Community council approved this. Clr. Harries had agreed to re-site the original benches.
Clr. Harries reported that some street lights in Amroth were being kept on all night. This seemed a waste of energy. Clr. Brinsden would speak to a PCC officer regarding this.
Pleasant Valley councillors reported that they had held a useful meeting with representatives from Saundersfoot Community Council regarding the water quality at Wiseman's Bridge and the associated sewerage system at Stepaside and Pleasant Valley. Saundersfoot Community Council would be supporting the aims of this community council to secure a successful outcome on this matter.
