Begelly Beads have come to Narberth! Local girl Carole Langston has turned her hobby and dreams into reality by opening this beautiful shop.

Carole, formerly an IT tutor for Learning Pembrokeshire, now teaches jewellery making in different Learning Pembrokeshire centres across the county as well as at the Narberth shop.

She said: “I absolutely love teaching, nothing gives me more pleasure than seeing people learn new skills and create beautiful pieces of jewellery - I have to confess it doesn’t feel like work at all.”

What do they offer?

Begelly Beads Shop in Narberth stocks a large range of beads, crystals, findings and jewellery making supplies. Whether you are a beader, embroiderer or crafter they have got something for you.

In the shop’s classroom they hold jewellery classes and workshops and have visiting guest tutors delivering a range of jewellery making skills. They also hold a ‘bead club’ on Fridays to allow like-minded beaders to meet up to learn, chat and drink tea or coffee!

They undertake costume jewellery repairs, restringing and pearl knotting.

Bespoke items - need to match an outfit? Begelly Beads can make up jewellery to your colour choice and style - perfect for weddings, proms etc.

If you don’t want to make something… no problem, as they stock a varied selection of handmade jewellery.

They have a varied customer base and enjoy visits from local groups and WIs, being recently voted ‘most popular visit’ by Boncath WI.

They are available for parties of all ages and have even had a hen party where the bridesmaids helped to make their hair combs and jewellery!

They have an online shop at www.begellybeads.co.uk and a Facebook page begelly.beads.

They also stock a selection of their beads and findings at the following outlets: The Shed, Frog Street, Tenby and Clare’s Craft Centre in Pembroke Dock.

“The shop, originally in Begelly, had to relocate due to the site being developed, but we are looking at the move in a positive light and are very happy to be part of the Narberth community,” added Carole.
