The ladies of Tenby Townswomen’s Guild gathered to hold an early carol service and Christmas party.

The party took place on on December 1. Carols were sung and lessons were read by Jan, Sonia, Betty, Anne M, Joy and Pam. Margaret read a poem in Welsh about the three kings, Wendy read a poem about Christmas cards and friendship and Pat read a short story with a mysterious ending and a Christmas message. John Harrison joined the ladies to accompany the carols.

After that, everyone settled down to an enormous tea and to groan at the jokes in the crackers. There was a raffle, with Gail, Anne L and Pam winning the prizes and a Lucky Dip - or not so lucky, depending on what was picked! Pictured are Gill, Pat, Dorothy and Gail about to tuck in.

The first meeting of 2023 will be on Thursday January 5 when a game of Bingo will be held. Later in the year there will be a quiz, a fish and chip lunch and a film, and talks by invited speakers. If you would like to join Tenby Townswomen’s Guild, the ladies meet on the first Thursday of every month at 2pm in St Mary’s Church House, and everyone is welcome. Tea, coffee, buns and cake and plenty of chat.
