A Tenby motorist has been ordered to pay over £600 in fines and costs after admitting two speeding offences in court this week.

Forty-eight-year-old Gareth Ivor Knights John, of Upper Hill Park, was due to go on trial at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Monday, after previously denying the charges, but changed his plea to guilty on the day.

Mr. John was fined £140 and given three points on his driving licence by magistrates at the hearing, after admitting driving his Jaguar Xjl on the A48 Carmarthen, at a speed of 90 mph, exceeding the limit of 70 mph, on September 13, of last year.

He also had his driving licence endorsed by a further three points, and was fined £140, after pleading guilty to driving an Audi A6 on the M4 at Newport, Gwent, on August 6, of last year, at a speed exceeding the 60 mph limit.

Magistrates also ordered Mr. John to pay court costs totalling £330.
