Tenby' s lifeboat crew were on the scene today (Friday) to rescue two people cut off by the tide.

The RNLI’s inshore lifeboat the Georgina Taylor launched at around 12.40 pm following a report of two people cut off by the incoming tide between Amroth and Wiseman’s Bridge.

The volunteer crew were soon on scene and took the people off the rocks, before dropping them off with members of Tenby Coastguard Rescue Team who were waiting at Wiseman’s Bridge.

Later in the afternoon, the inshore lifeboat was launched again at 2.50 pm, following a report of people cut off by the tide on Tenby’s Paragon Beach.

The lifeboat quickly made the short trip around to Paragon Beach and found the casualties cut off and unable to get to safety.

They were taken aboard and brought back around to Tenby Harbour.
