Tenby Coastguard Rescue team were paged to assist a casualty on Tuesday morning who had been recovered from the water at Lawrenny.

The casualty was recovered to the shore by members of the public, and with the coastguard receiving a call shortly after 10 am, upon arrival at Lawrenny, they provided first aid to the casualty whilst awaiting Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust paramedics.

Once ambulance crew were on scene, the casualty was transferred to land ambulance and transported for further care at hospital.

As the team were being stood down, they were re-tasked to a second incident in Manorbier, along with HM Coastguard St. Govans and the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust.

On route to Manorbier, information was received that a person was suffering a medical event on the coast path east of the beach.

Upon arrival, coastguards assisted paramedics to transfer kit to enable them to assist the casualty. Due to the nature of the medical event, Coastguard rescue helicopter 187 was requested to attend the scene.

Once the helicopter arrived on scene, the casualty was transferred to the helicopter crews care and flown to hospital for further treatment.
