A prolific Pembroke Dock shoplifter will spend the start of 2020 behind bars after admitting stealing make up and toiletries from a local store.

Forty-one-year-old Luke Brummitt, of Queen Street, appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Friday, December 20, to plead guilty to stealing the items valued at £155.49 the previous day from the Boots store in Pembroke Dock.

He also admitted a further charge of possessing 0.21g of cannabis on the same day.

Mr. Brummitt was committed to prison for 20 weeks, because the offence was aggravated by the defendant’s record of previous offending.

He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £122.
