A Pembroke man has been fined in court after admitting possessing cannabis.
Thirty-five-year-old Dean William Howells, of Commons Road, pleaded guilty to possessing 5.3 grammes of cannabis when he appeared at Haverfordwest magistrates court on Tuesday.
Prosecutor Sian Vaughan told the court that police officers attended the defendant’s address on an unrelated matter and could smell cannabis emanating from the property.
Defence solicitor Mark Layton said that his client had certain health problems and that he found that smoking cannabis helped.
Mr. Howells was fined £80 for the offence and ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £30 victim surcharge. A destruction order was also issued for the cannabis.
