A Pembroke Dock man has appeared in court charged with possessing cannabis.
Twenty-nine-year-old David Graham Lewis, of Old Coronation School, pleaded guilty to a charge of possessing 0.8 grams of herbal cannabis when he appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Prosecutor Ellie Morgan told the court that police officers executed a warrant under the misuse of drugs act at the defendant’s address on March 31, and found two tobacco tins containing the drug, to which Mr. Lewis full admitted the possession of.
Defence solicitor Mike Kelleher told magistrates that his client had been a cannabis user for some years but that this was his first conviction and that he had been voluntarily attending appointments with the Hywel Dda and Dyfed Drug and Alcohol Service (DDAS) over the past 12 months.
Magistrates gave Mr. Lewis a six month conditional discharge and ordered him to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £20 victim surcharge.
