A Pembroke Dock woman who stole three cans of energy drinks has been fined in court.
Thirty-five-year-old Rachel Hughes, of Wavell Crescent, pleaded guilty to stealing the items worth £4.50 from Londis in Pembroke Dock, when she appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Prosecutor Sian Vaughan told the court that Ms Hughes was observed by staff going into the store on Sunday, August 27, and CCTV checks showed that she had taken three cans off the shelves and placed them into her rucksack before leaving the premised without paying.
The court heard how the defendant had admitted a similar matter of theft earlier in the year.
Defence solicitor Mark Layton said that these were both isolated incidents against a background of bereavement issues.
Magistrates fined Ms Hughes £60 for the offence and ordered her to pay compensation of £4.50 to the store.
She was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £30 victim surcharge.
