A man who tried to push past police to get back into a Tenby nightclub after being ejected, appeared at Haverdfordwest magistrates court on Tuesday.
Twenty-six-year-old Richard Wallis, of New Tredegar, Brithdir, pleaded guilty to a charge being drunk and disorderly.
Prosecutor Vaughan Pritchard-Jones told the court that it was 1.10 am, on Sunday, August 21, when police officers on routine patrol outside the Prince of Wales in Upper Frog Street, spoke to the defendant who had been thrown out of the club by door staff.
“He was trying to get back in, and police officers gave him words of advice to go away, but he reacted with verbal abuse and tried to push through them, so he was arrested and handcuffed,” said Mr. Pritchard-Jones, who told magistrates that Mr. Wallis had been to prison in 2011 for 10 months for an affray, and also charged in 2014 for drink-driving.
Magistrates fined the defendant £100 and ordered him to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £30 victim surcharge.
