A man has been banned and fined after pleading guilty to a drink-drive charge.

Thirty-six-year-old Grzegorz Zebracki, of Primrose Way, Lydney, was charged after giving a reading of 51 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the prescribed limit.

The offence took place on August 20.

Prosecutor, Vaughan Pritchard-Jones told the court that the defendant drove a vehicle to his workplace in Milford Haven.

It was here that Mr. Zebracki was subject to an initial assessment by his bosses where it was found he had been drinking.

Dyfed-Pows Police were then called and after the defendant failed a roadside breath test, he was then taken to the police station where he registered a reading of 51.

Defence solicitor, Mike Kelleher said that his client had been drinking the night before without food and didn’t expect the reading to be so high.

He also mentioned that the defendant had lost his job.

Mr. Zebracki was given a 16-month driving ban and was fined £120, ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs, along with a £32 victim surcharge.
