An arrest warrant has been issued to a man accused of sending an offensive Whats App message in Pembroke Dock, who failed to appear for a court hearing this week.
Fifty-one-year-old, John Halloway, of Mendip Crescent, Westcliff-on-sea, was scheduled to appear at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday, to face a charge of sending an electronic communication through the Whats App messaging service to a male in Pembroke Dock, on July 20 of last year.
Prosecutor Vaughan Pritchard Jones told magistrates: “The allegation is one of sending a racially aggravated malicious communication - a nasty offence, so he really needs to be brought to court to answer for his actions.”
Magistrates issued an arrest warrant without bail to secure the defendant’s attendance in court.
