Congratulations to Bertha Ann Scourfield who celebrated her 100th birthday on Sunday.

Born in Llanteg, she was the eldest of six children and worked in Trecwn for many years during the war, before moving to Begelly, where she lived happily with her husband.

She has two children Joan and Vincent (and a son-in-law and daughter-in-law), also five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Bertha now resides at Woodlands Lodge in Gumfreston, where she moved to in September 2013, having lived a healthy life at home.
