Prizes were awarded to the winners of the Saundersfoot in Bloom Garden Competition.

The prizegiving ceremony took place recently at St Brides Hotel, by kind permission of Mr Andrew Evans.

Prizes were presented by Cllr Martyn Williams BEM, chairman of Saundersfoot Community Council. Saundersfoot in Bloom chairman Mr Keith Williams welcomed everyone to the event and thanked them all for taking part. Judges were Mr David Cox, Mrs Rachel Treadway-Williams and Mr Keith Williams.

Prize winners were as follows.

Private House Section:

  • Best garden visible from the road: 1st Mrs Ann Lewis.
  • Best forecourt without garden: 1st Mrs Diane Rigden; 2nd Mrs Tessa Pearson.
  • Best senior citizen’s garden: Mrs Anne Lewis.
  • Best garden not visible from the road: 1st Mrs Jo Balkwell; 2nd Mr Philip Brace.

Public House and Restaurant Section:

  • Best garden: 1st Saundersfoot Bay Leisure Park; 2nd Captains Table.
  • Best premises window boxes, hanging baskets etc: 1st Saundersfoot Bay Leisure Park; 2nd Harbwr Bar and Kitchen.
  • Best overall display visible from the road: 1st Harbwr Bar and Kitchen; 2nd Captains Table.
  • Best retail premises: Saundersfoot Vintage Antiques.
  • Best commercial premises: Saundersfoot Bay Leisure Park.
