Members of the Tenby based Seren Irish Dance School competed in the Irish Open Championships in Dublin over the recent Bank Holiday weekend.

As usual the standard of the competition was high and it is a reflection of the dedication and commitment the dancers have that so many of them were awarded medals and trophies.

Emily Dilkes, Alisha Phillips and Bethen Ewings all gained the title ‘Irish Open Champion’ in their dance categories. Second placed dancers were Nicola Tulley and Isobell Ewings, while Holly Bonnar achieved third place.

Leeza Owen and Bryony Cunningham were placed fourth, with Linzi Wallace eighth.

Kristian Westmacott was placed seventh in the Ard Grad level. He will also be competing in the World Championships in June and the whole school wish him the best of luck.

Dancing in the Championships for the first time were: Ocean Arthur, Pheobe Walker, Amy-Rose Davies, Carla Harrison and Lily Desforges.

Teachers Lizzie Desforges, Cheryl John and Jasmin Hicks are immensely proud of everyone who qualified and ultimately took part in the Championships including Kelis Wharton, Lily Bowen, Lauren Goodwin and Wictoria Soczewka.
